  15. Installation:
  16. -------------

  18. * Unzip the Feaser.zip archive to a temporary 
  19.   directory. These files can be removed after
  20.   installing Feaser.
  21.  
  22. * Select 'Run' in your startmenu and browse in
  23.   the directory you just unzipped files to.
  24.  
  25. * Search for a file named 'Setup.exe'. Select the
  26.   file and click 'Ok' the start the Feaser Ftp
  27.   Setup Utility.

  29.  
  30. Program Features:
  31. -------------
  32.  
  33. * Feaser makes it possible to transfer files between
  34.   a local computer and a remote computer. It is the
  35.   prefect program for webpage designers. Besides all
  36.   the basic transfer operations other Ftp clients offer,
  37.   it also has a nice looking and easy to understand
  38.   interface and tons of extra options.
  39.  
  40. * Feaser supports drag-and-drop operations. For example:
  41.   if you want to upload a certain local file to an Ftp 
  42.   Server, all you have to do is select the file then drag
  43.   it to the remote display window and drop the file. Feaser
  44.   will automatically start the upload procedure.

  46. * Transfer of complete directory structures. This is a very
  47.   powerful feature. It's possible to upload and download a
  48.   directory including all of its subdirectories. Feaser will
  49.   automatically create the directories required and will 
  50.   copy all the files to the proper directory.

  52. * Maintenance of your Ftp Accounts.Feaser comes with a highly
  53.   configurable Accounts editor. You can use this editor to
  54.   change and store you favorite Ftp Accounts. This means that
  55.   you only have to enter the login information one time. The
  56.   next time you want to login to this Ftp Server all you have
  57.   to do is double-click the Ftp Account and Feaser will
  58.   automatically connect. You can even enter a description for
  59.   each account. On top of that Feaser has a few well known Ftp
  60.   accounts preinstalled so you can get started right away after
  61.   installing Feaser.

  63. * Compatible with 99% of all commonly used Server software.
  64.   Including Unix, Ultrix, Win NT, BSD, Vax/VMS, VMS-Multinet,
  65.   VMS-Ucx, IBM-VM, Novell File Server, etc.

  67. * Keep connection alive option. Some Ftp Servers disconnect you
  68.   after a few minutes of inactivity. If you enable the 'keep alive'
  69.   option, then Feaser will send a signal to the Ftp Server for you
  70.   in order to keep the connection alive.

  72. * Recycle Bin. Feaser uses the Windows Recycle Bin when you delete
  73.   local files.

  75. * Log viewer. Feaser now ships with a build in log viewer. The log
  76.   viewer even has functions to save, print, clear and to copy the
  77.   entire log to the Windows clipboard.

  79. * Sound notifications. You can configure Feaser to play a certain 
  80.   soundfile after connecting, disconnection and after finishing
  81.   transfer operations. With other words: you don't have to watch
  82.   your computer screen to follow the progress of a file transfer.
  83.   You can sit back and relax, maybe even do some work. At the
  84.   ending of a file transfer you will be alerted by a sound event.

  86. * Keyboard shortcuts. All common functions of Feaser are accessible
  87.   through keyboard shortcuts. This option is perfect for those who
  88.   hate browsing through the menu structure with their mouse-pointer.

  90. * Executing Remote files. It's possible to directly execute a remote
  91.   file. This can be handy if you want to install a program that's on
  92.   a Ftp Server or if you want to edit a webpage that's placed on the
  93.   Ftp Server. Feaser will download the file automatically to the
  94.   default directory and then execute it.

  96. * Personalize your copy of Feaser. For instance: you can tell Feaser
  97.   which wave-files should be used with the sound notification or which
  98.   Html editor should be used if you are executing an Html-file.

  101. About Feaser:

  104. Feaser is Shareware. This means that you can try the software before
  105. you decide to buy the software. You are allowed to evaluate Feaser
  106. for 30 days. If you like the software and you want to keep on using
  107. the software legally, you will have to register Feaser and pay a small
  108. registration fee of $20 (US Dollars) to the author. If you register
  109. Feaser you:

  111. * have a license to unlimited use of Feaser.
  112. * get Technical Support through e-mail.
  113. * receive information about updates and new releases.
  114. * motivate the author to improve the software.
  115.

  123. Feaser FTP Client END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

  125. Use of Feaser FTP Client (hereinafter 'SOFTWARE') is 
  126. contingent on your agreement to the following terms:

  128. 1. GRANT OF LICENSE

  130. Frank Voorburg (hereinafter Author) grants you a
  131. limited non-exclusive license to use the SOFTWARE
  132. free of charge.

  134. If you are using the SOFTWARE free of charge under 
  135. the terms of this Agreement, you are not entitled to any
  136. support whatsoever.

  138. 2. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
  139.  
  140. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED AS IS WITHOUT 
  141. WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM
  142. EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 
  143. AUTHOR FURTHER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRAN-
  144. TIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY
  145. IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
  146. FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND
  147. NONINFRINGEMENT. THE ENTIRE RISK ARI-
  148. SING OUT OF THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF
  149. THE PRODUCT AND DOCUMENTATION REMAINS

  164. 3. SCOPE OF GRANT

  166. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or 
  167. disassemble the SOFTWARE. Author shall retain
  168. title and all ownership rights to the SOFTWARE.

  170. 4. COPYRIGHT

  172. This SOFTWARE is protected by copyright laws
  173. and international copyright treaties, as well as other
  174. intellectual property laws and treaties.

  176. 5. MAINTENANCE

  178. Author is not obligated to provide maintenance or 
  179. updates for the SOFTWARE.  However, any main-
  180. tenance or updates provided by Author shall be
  181. covered by this Agreement.

  183. 6. DISTRIBUTION

  185. The SOFTWARE may be freely distributed provided 
  186. that it is not modified and the original archive remains
  187. intact with all accompanying files, and provided that
  188. no fee is charged (except for any reasonable fees
  189. necessary to cover costs of distribution media).
